Check out this amazing photo of Pandora from an ikrans eye view. The only thing missing…all the guests. Disney has closed all it’s parks due to the COVID-19 virus and this photo just shows how empty Pandora is these days. If you want more information on the Disney closures check out this write up by Walt Disney World News Today. One thing I spy are the three Sagittaria in their pond. They look like they are ready to squirt some water at guests once again. Do you spy any stingbats (Na’vi name-riti) roosting on the mountains, or even a Na’vi lurking about? I for one would love to explore Pandora with a few close friends and no other guests, that would be a dream.

I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy with plenty of supplies. Don’t forget to limit exposure to others as much as possible.
Avatar: Discover Pandora is a 12,000 square foot interactive exhibit that launched in December of 2016. It was originally released in Taiwan, and has since been in Thailand and China. Currently it is not on display since it closed in April of this year. But it was said to be traveling around the world.
While there you are able to see and interact with all sorts of fun things from the original movie. Such as a lifesize ikran (banshee), pa’li (direhorse), nantang (viperwolf), and even a family of na’vi. You can visit the tree of souls, learn some na’vi, and even step inside a theater and see Pandora during the day and in all its bioluminescent glory at night. There seems to be a ton of fun stuff to see and do, much more than I’ve covered here.
First I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has checked out the site. We have received some good feedback, don’t be afraid to keep it coming, good or bad. We want the site to serve you guys, the fans, to do so we need to know what you like and don’t like.
After our first week though we are super excited. Going into this my goal was modest, I know the Avatar fandom isn’t real large at the moment, the people who are active online seem to be fairly low. I hoped the site would reach 50-100 people at some point, eventually being closer to 75-100. I thought if that many people would check it out each day or every few days that would make a solid impact on the current Avatar online population. What surprised me was that we have reached exactly 100 unique visitors from 14 countries in our first week. So thank you guys!
The site has only been promoted on its Facebook, and Instagram page, and clearly by word of mouth. The main goal of the site is to give fans a resource for any news for the sequels, or Avatar in general. Plus we want you to be able to have something to read each day. Some days I am sure it will be a topic that you already knew, or an article you’d already seen, but we aim to keep things coming and give Avatar fans a little boost. We are still 2 years away from things heating up, but when they do it’s going to be wild.
We have a new video game coming from Massive, a book series coming from Steven Gould, comics from Dark Horse, and of course the sequels. Things are going to be real fun again before we know it! Even now we are fortunate to have the Cirque du Soleil show and have Pandora we can visit at Animal Kingdom. Both of which are highly recommended. There is also something called Avatar The Exhibition which has been in Asia, it looks amazing, I can’t wait for it to make its way closer to us.
In the coming days we will have more information on all the current Avatar offerings and what’s to come, so keep an eye out.
